The winemaker

Founded 350 years ago, during the reign of King Louis XIV, the area was home to a hermitage on the road to Saint Jacques de Compostela. Attracted by the clayey and calcareous, with bright red so particular, the monks cultivated there porcini mushrooms, olive trees and some vines. Pierre-Olivier Turbil acquired the domain in 2013. Also, with the help of his wife Laurence, he is firing on all cylinders to bring new energy to the Castle which was somewhat asleep. To do this, they decided to continue the policy of qualitative field while developing wine tourism. In this context, the castle opened in 2014 an adventure park in the woods of The ARNAUDE the heart of the vineyards. Located in the heart of the Var, on the Mediterranean reliefs, this area of ​​20 hectares consisting of deep soil argilocalcaires enjoys maximum sunlight thanks to the orientation of plots. The vineyard has retained its old vines with various grape varieties, a precious heritage. The reception at the tasting room is in French, English and Spanish. Since 2013, under the leadership of Laurence, the area of ​​the Arnaude offers guest rooms with a furnished in the old chapel that once housed the hermits. This year, the pink Juliet again received a gold medal, this time in the competition of Vins de Provence; and red Pierre Louis in 2011 won two gold medals in competitions 2014 Provence wines and Vignerons Independants.
