A long history of wine growers for generations in ESTIENNE. The vine has been grown on the terraces of the estate. In 1941, Edward who made use of the founders of the Bandol appellation, and his son Jules, restore the area by planting only the noble varieties of Bandol. In that year, by selecting only the noble vines in each plot, the first crop afforded 600 liters of Bandol. The other varieties are vinified in table wines. The estate had been acquired by our ancestor "Master Pad" only had two and a half hectares on which was planted the vine but also the Mediterranean cultures that allowed to live off the land. There was also growing narcissus flower very appreciated by the English. Even then the Laidière exported to Britain. Moreover our ancestor had built two oil mills and last functioned until 1956. During the February frost destroyed the olive groves throughout the region. The work of the oil mill had disappeared, the decision was made to concentrate all production to the Bandol wine. After tearing the dead trees stumps, allowed to stand soils, began a long period of replanting vines. The estate, under the Jules momentum grows. It has an area of 12 hectares, and in 1970, Freddy's son, Jules, arrived on the field. New land leased and the acquisition in 1986 of a hill of 7 hectares located above the area brings the area to 25 hectares. Today Freddy, his daughter Anne who is the 10th generation, and Jules ESTIENNE occur on the family estate on average 800 hectoliters of Bandol.
