Characteristics of the terroir and vineyards of Domaine du Mas Rouge


Domaine du Mas Rouge is a high-quality vineyard offering a wide variety of wines. Ideally located just 1 kilometer from the sea (at Aresquiers in Vic la Gardiole, between Sète and Montpellier), it benefits from the protection of the surrounding hills and is thus spared the mistral and sea winds. The vineyard covers 36 hectares and enjoys exceptional sunshine, with over 300 days of sunshine a year and very little rain.

The wines of Domaine du Mas Rouge


Traditional production consists of white Muscat, notably Muscat de Mireval and Muscat de Frontignan. In recent years, the estate has turned its attention to other productions, such as fish cuvées (with a blend of Chardonnay, Rousssane and Muscat for the white wine version), the production of red and rosé wines (notably the excellent red Les Murmûres d'Arthur, made from 100% Syrah grapes) and even a sparkling white wine based on Muscat à petits grains.
