The winemaker

The estate was bought in the 30s by Jean and Nelly Aubert, great grandparents Julie Aubert, current owner with her husband, Nicolas Richarme (see Nelly Cuvée 1930 and 1930 Cuvée Jean). By buying the site, which dates back to the late seventeenth century and whose purpose was the production of silkworms and fruit trees, Jean Aubert and his wife Nelly, restaurant in Lyon, returning to the roots of their origins. A "heart stroke" which marked the start of a passion never wavered over generations. THE bIODYNAMIC The Château de Bastet has chosen this method of culture of seeking balance of the vineyard with its immediate and more distant environment. Biodynamics banished chemicals, pesticides or herbicides. The floors are traditionally worked as yesteryear with better tools and methods of cultivation are all in the sense of respect of the plant, the quality of the grapes produced and finally the health of the lover and consumer of wine.
