In a few words ...
2016, an exceptional, powerful vintage The summer heatwave and, above all, the high water stress from the end of May to the beginning of September did everything possible to concentrate the berries as much as possible. It was with some trepidation that we experienced the first days of September, when the whites were already displaying unavowable degrees of alcohol for aromatic ripeness that was not yet optimal. The rains on 14/09 unblocked the ripening process, swelling the berries and allowing the grapes to finish ripening.

Appearance
The color is a beautiful golden yellow with green highlights.
Aroma
The nose develops fine aromas of white-fleshed fruit (apple, pear), wild flowers and orange blossom, aniseed and preserved lemon, as well as fine saline notes.

Taste
On the palate, the wine has a strong presence, with lots of fruit, finesse, fullness and sweetness, but always with a fine balance of freshness. Supported by a mineral touch.

What an astonishing cuvée! You wouldn't expect so much finesse and minerality from a terroir like Châteauneuf-du-Pape. A must-try!

The appellation Châteauneuf-du-Pape is part of the region of Vallée du Rhône from France which include Maison Ogier and its 6 cuvées. Spread over The Rhone Valley and its rich, complex terroirs. The region is divided into two distinct subregions: Northern Rhone (known as Rhône Septentrional) and Southern Rhone (Rhône Méridional). In the former we find strong wines in beautiful colours with warm, spicy notes, produced by vineyards that stretch 4,700 ha along the Rhone. The latter, with an area of 71,000 ha, is much more important, and this is evident of course in its annual production of red, rosé and white wines quite unlike those of the Northern Rhone., this region is 3 million hectolitres per year of red wines, rosés, dry and sparkling white wines, and natural sweet wine..
