The winemaker

It all started in 1860 with the first investments in the local vineyard of our quinquisaïeul Emmanuel Boiron. His son, Joseph Victor and his son-little Joseph follow his trail and create the entity "Clos Chantemerle" in 1936; successive generations, each turn enlarging the field and always keeping in mind the concern of respect for the land and maintaining quality. Maurice, son of Joseph, will not rest and will give a real extent of ownership by purchasing more than ten hectares and renaming in 1966, the field "GROVE POPES." Family wealth then has 27 hectares of Chateauneuf du Pape. Since 1995, it's me, Nicolas, son of Mauritius that brings me to the building with the purchase of 3 hectares of Côtes du Rhône and Chateauneuf du Pape 4.5. With my wife Jeanne-Claire, we want to make this turning point in viticulture what one of modernity, of the alliance between technical progress and respect for tradition, a tradition that we want scalable to better adapt to the modern way of consuming wine. Today it reports to a real need for measured enjoyment and a certain thirst, so to say, of knowledge, which after all, is going very well together. Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a great wine, one of the best in the world; we are proud and we invite you to share with us our passion and taste of wine.
