The winemaker

Created by Stephen Grangeon it 70 years ago, the property originally distributed on 2 hectares of Grenache developed under the leadership of Alain, his son, who joined the field in 1963. Passionate about viticulture, he contributed to the expansion of the area by planting varietals such as Syrah and Mourvèdre and creating the Cristia identity based on knowledge and respect of its soils. When in 1999, Baptiste and Dominique joined their father, their priorities were then to direct their work towards optimal plot selection to produce bottles of high quality wines for and market in France that export. The vineyard work is done as naturally as possible, consistent with the criteria of organic farming, we received certification for the vintage 2008. No chemical fertilizers or weed killers or pesticides are used for the treatment of soil and vines.
