The winemaker

The vines of the Domaine Gayère flourish on a land of garrigue (red clay underground and surface stones) that gives power and complexity to our wines. Half of them have more than 30 years, some over 65. The Grenache, Carignan, Mourvèdre and Syrah are the grapes that, together, give red wines of Côtes du Rhône and Côtes du Rhône Village Cairanne their wealth and typicality. The white and Clairette Bourboulenc up our white wines. From waist to tying, the budding with green harvesting allows us to limit output, through tillage, mechanical weeding and rational protection of vines against mildew and powdery mildew, every decision is taken for the quality of the next harvest, while respecting the environment and thinking about the sustainability of the vineyard. The Gayère the Domaine wines Christèle Plantevin offers today are a product of this history of this vineyard.
