The winemaker

Galus in Latin means "Gaul" and "Rooster", that is not a coincidence Fanette Fessy and Jean-Baptiste Paquet chose this name wearing the colors of French wine. Together, they cultivate a vineyard rooted in the Rhone Valley, the heart of the terroir Costières de Nîmes. Both original Burgundians, they are immersed from childhood in the world of wine. Fanette represents the sixth generation of winemakers in his family, his father was a successful merchant in Beaujolais. John the Baptist, he worked from an early age to his father, Michel Paquet, owner of Domaine Valanges to Davayé Burgundy. After their studies in viticulture and oenology and their multiple experiences in Burgundy and Côtes du Rhône, and Fanette Jean-Baptiste took up this challenge - a bit crazy - a property of aquérir to raise wines of character. 9 ha of vines forty years fall one piece around the winery, on the set of "Pazac". Typical varieties of the region are mostly represented by Grenache and Syrah. Since 2009, all the vines are conducted in organic farming.
