The winemaker

Like many foreigners, we (Anna and Wilson) have dreamed of owning a vineyard in France. For over 10 years we have visited the area around Vinsobres and Nyons and have recognized the potential of its wines, with aromas of red fruits typical of the Côtes du Rhône. In 2005, we began our search for a property; and in June 2006 we acquired the land and buildings that form the Domain Old School in Vinsobres. Furthermore woods and land, we have 13 hectares of vineyards, including our first harvest was in 2007. Our vineyards are located in the town of Vinsobres on the plateau at an altitude of approximately 400m. The nights are so fresh which allows the grapes to ripen slowly. About 20% of the vines of the Domaine Old School are Cru Vinsobres and the rest AOC Côtes du Rhône (Côtes du Rhône Villages before the creation of thought). We have two varieties (30% Syrah, 70% Grenache). We grow our vines working with nature and are organic. We work with a wine consultant and enologist, who help us create our superb wines from the estate of the old school.
