The winemaker
Domaine Saint Clair family property of 15 hectares, located in the municipality of Beaumont-Monteux (26 - Drôme), is a contemporary winery founded by Denis Basset, which promotes and markets its wines since September 2007. Exceptional qualities of the soils, Crozes-Hermitage and Saint-Joseph, and, Syrah for red, Marsanne and Roussanne for the whites, plus a traditional wine from vines over 30 years. After vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats and then aged in oak barrels, the wines obtained are contemporary wines with subtle aromas, soft and yet very frank with this length in mouth characteristic of the great wines of the northern Rhone Valley . The vineyard consists of a ground pebbles draining and hot for Crozes-Hermitage and granite terraces for St. Joseph, enjoys a sunny and windy climate.
