Domaine Sauvat

Domaine Sauvat is located in Boudes in the Cantal department of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes. Claude Sauvat, a passionate winegrower, founded the estate in the 1970s. He joined forces with his daughter Annie in 1987. They became forerunners in the Côtes d'Auvergne vineyard, vinifying Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in barrels. Find out more

The winemaker

A 10-hectare family estate planted with Gamay - Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes, located in Boudes, a small wine-producing village classified as a Pays d'Art et d'Histoire, 50 km south of Clermont-Ferrand. This AOC Côtes d'Auvergne Boudes vineyard is located in the foothills of a lava flow on a volcanic terroir. Gamay, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are grown here, and the grapes are harvested exclusively by hand. Domaine Sauvat offers ideal winemaking conditions.
