The winemaker

A growing, a grape in a region, a suitable plot, increased selection of grapes each vintage, careful vinification, are the master words of the property for fifteen years, and supported since 2015 by the Terra Vitis label. Surrounded by a centuries-old forest with a multitude of species in an area of ​​1500 hectares, there are 140 hectares of vineyards of the family estate in the heart of Provence, between the Sainte-Victoire and Sainte-Baume. The area is now considered a veritable laboratory of the multitude of varieties that can be found there; Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Carignan, Rolle, Clairette or Cabernet Sauvignon. Philippe Burel attaches particular importance to replant seeking the best for each variety and each plot. Although the average age of the vineyard is about twenty years, the oldest Cabernet Sauvignon vines exhibit date from 1967 to 1968. The wide range offered by Philippe Burel, with mature wines and atypical but also easier to drink wines, will satisfy everyone's palate.
