La première note syrah de la cave de tain is a red wine emblematic of the northern Rhône Valley. Produced from carefully selected young vines, this Syrah offers an accessible yet authentic first approach to the granite terroir of tain-l'hermitage. The nose opens with aromas of fresh red fruits, violets and black pepper, typical of northern Syrah. On the palate, the wine is supple, fruity and pleasant, with fine tannins and a slightly spicy finish. An excellent introduction to the red wines of the Rhone Valley. Perfect with grilled meats, charcuterie or stewed dishes, or simply to enjoy with friends. Vin de Pays des Collines Rhodaniennes
The appellation Vin de Pays des Collines Rhodaniennes is part of the region of Vallée du Rhône from France which include Cave de Tain and its 6 cuvées. Spread over The Rhone Valley and its rich, complex terroirs. The region is divided into two distinct subregions: Northern Rhone (known as Rhône Septentrional) and Southern Rhone (Rhône Méridional). In the former we find strong wines in beautiful colours with warm, spicy notes, produced by vineyards that stretch 4,700 ha along the Rhone. The latter, with an area of 71,000 ha, is much more important, and this is evident of course in its annual production of red, rosé and white wines quite unlike those of the Northern Rhone., this region is 3 million hectolitres per year of red wines, rosés, dry and sparkling white wines, and natural sweet wine..
