The winemaker

Chance studies brought Nadia LUSSEAU to oenology, she discovers an exciting environment with many facets. She quickly realizes she wants to create its own wines, with his feelings and intervening early (vine) at the end (marketing). Young winemaker, she was bored in a lab and decided to resume operations in late 2002. Only the head of the vineyard, she divides her time between work in the vineyard, the development and aging of wines, marketing ... Attached to their land and the quality of the grapes it decides to conduct its vineyards to organic farming in 2005. This first year was a test year, driven by the outcome and meeting in the middle of the "organic" it officially converts the vineyards to organic farming in 2006. Côtes de Duras ... a little history The vineyards of the Cotes de Duras is one of three Appellations of Origin Controlled in Lot-et-Garonne (with Buzet and Côtes du Marmande). It is around names Entre-Deux-Mers, Sainte-Foy-Bordeaux and Bergerac.   The rise of the vineyard dates from the twelfth century. Famous people have forged the reputation of the wines of Duras as Pope Clement V or the kings of England, whose lords occupied the region for three centuries is making even accused of "harvesting Aquitaine". And François 1er who bowed in his time, the "nectar" of Duras. But it is certainly the eighteenth century which was a boom not only in the country's history Duras, but also in that of the local family of Durfort (three Dukes of Duras having been elevated to Marshal dignity La France).   Supreme recognition of the work of winegrowers the vineyards of the Cotes de Duras was one of the first to be classified AOC in 1937.
