The winemaker

Located in the heart of the Bergerac vineyard, Château Marie Plaisance Mérillier belongs to the family since 1850. Thomas 36, 35 and Anne Francis 33 years have succeeded their parents for ten years and is now the fifth generation of winemakers Château Marie Plaisance. The arrival of the new generation has shaken some habits of the area, both in terms of facilities that have been modernized, and in terms of the vineyard. Anne Thomas and François resolutely opted for organic farming: The conversion was undertaken in 2010 and 2013 vintage wines are now sold under the label AB. The estate consists of 55 hectares in Bergerac appellation red, rosé, dry white Côtes de Bergerac, Saussignac and 15 hectares in the Bordeaux appellation, made in the last century by the union of two families.
