The winemaker

Château Pécany is a historic wine estate located in Pomport and surrounding an 18th-century château. Benoît Beigner, an engineer-oenologist, bought the Château Pécany vineyards in 2012 and set up business in 2015. After years of semi-abandonment, the vines were converted to organic farming (2012) and restructuring began. This peaceful property promotes biodiversity by combining organic viticulture and beekeeping to reveal the flavors of its terroir. Benoît Beigner's ambition is to restructure the estate so that it once again reveals its full potential, drawing on his varied experience with prestigious names and far-flung horizons. Château Pécany offers a full range of organic wines and honeys. To reinforce its convictions and its attachment to its terroir and biodiversity, the estate is also Bee Friendly certified. Bee Friendly is a progress initiative that encourages producers to question their practices, their impact on the environment and more specifically on pollinators, and to implement concrete actions to improve these practices.
