The winemaker

The Domaine de la Grande Sieste is a winery located in the commune of Aniane, in the Hérault department, in the Occitanie region. The estate offers wines of the three robes, belonging to the IGP Oc and Vin de France appellation.

The history of Domaine de la Grande Sieste

The Domaine de la Grande Sieste was born from the passion of a couple of winemakers and restaurateurs, Boris and Leticia Leclercq, who bet on the Languedoc terroir, the village of Aniane and the terraces of Larzac to create a convivial place. The couple makes the apology of the peaceful life that takes the time to enjoy the environment and extract the best from it, without ever denaturing it.

Nothing predestined these two epicureans to become winemakers. Leticia from Paris and Boris from Lorraine met on the benches of the university of Marseille, before starting a career in real estate. However, Boris' passion for gastronomy won out, which led him to create his restaurant in 2006 in Montpellier, "Chez Boris et Leticia". At the same time, the couple continued to travel regularly to Domaine Sainte Rose in Servian - owned by Boris' father - to participate in the work of the vineyard.

A piece of information divulged by their accountant turned the couple's life upside down: a 15-hectare estate was for sale in the Aniane area. The decision to buy was instantaneous and the work began. It took three years for the Domaine de la Grande Sieste to be born.

The Domaine de la Grande Sieste vineyard

The 15 hectares of the Domaine de la Grande Sieste vineyard are cultivated in organic agriculture. They stretch over the terroir of Aniane and the Larzac terraces, 30 kilometers from Montpellier.

Its organic farming certification dates from 2019, after three years of conversion.

The grape varieties of Domaine de la Grande Sieste include Syrah, Grenache, Chardonnay and Mourvèdre.

The wines of Domaine de la Grande Sieste

Crapuleuse White - Vin de France

Crapuleuse Blanc wine is made entirely of Chardonnay. It is a concentrated and fine wine, offering aromas evoking exotic flavors. Its remarkable purity is accentuated by its superb mineral structure.

En Pleine Nature - organic red wine - Vin de France

En Pleine Nature is composed of the estate's main, most gourmet red grape varieties with a dominant Mourvèdre. The nose is fruity, as is its very supple mouthfeel with an aromatic palette that evokes blueberry, blackberry and black pepper.

Rosé de Rêve - IGP Oc

Composed of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah, Rosé de Rêve displays a beautiful, very pale pink color. Its fruity nose is reminiscent of sour candy and red currant. Its mouth is tonic and long, expressing the freshness of grapefruit.

Dream Red - IGP OC

Made from a blend of 60% Syrah and 40% Grenache, Rouge de Rêve offers a soft nose, blending notes of black fruits and blackberry liqueur. Its mouth is supple, always very greedy. It has a strong character that ends with a peppery finish.
