The winemaker

Located south of Bergerac, Domaine de Pécoula operates 33 hectares including 25 for the production of wine of Monbazillac. The rest is devoted to Red Bergerac, Bergerac Rosé, Bergerac Sec and Côtes de Bergerac Red and Mellow. The two partners Jean Marie and René Labaye succeed their father and grand father who, for generations, have enlarged the property. After their weapons in different areas, Rene the elder, then 15 years later Jean-Marie the youngest in a family of eight, returned to the source to operate the family property. Historically, Monbazillac is the flagship of the Domain Pécoula. Offered bottled since 1979, it has often been rewarded and managed to build a loyal customer base.
