The winemaker

It was in 1985 that the foundation stone of the cellar of the Vignerons du Quercy is asked and the first vintage is bottled; and already the first awards (Gold Medal in Paris, Toulouse, Southwest, etc.). First encouraging and reassuring results for this small group of specific farmers, who have made the choice of cooperation and working together, putting aside their egos, whereas the adequacy Soil - Climate - is crucial for the Grapes quality of their wine, rather than the notion of belonging to the land to one or the other. The vineyard work, the fragmentary selection and wine will do the rest to make the most of the potential of each plot. In this country or farms are small, mixed farming is king. So if there is not a big concentration of vines, we have no worries associated with it. New and healthy lands are available for replanting, and the pressure of vine diseases is lower. Mixed farming would it the future of viticulture? It is a collective history, men and women of history, a human-sized cooperative that today has 29 producers for 120 hectares of vineyards spread over the land of AOP Coteaux du Quercy.
