Located in Moselle, on the banks of the river Sarre, von othegraven's vineyards face south south-facing on a 65° slope, more like a cliff than a hillside! slopes! An ideal exposure at these latitudes, which, combined with a ferrous slate soil, the wines here are noble, mineral and warm. Founded in the 15th century, the von von othegraven is a founding member of the verband deutscher prädikatsweingüter (vdp), the renowned German association of the country's top wineries.
