Roberto voerzio - cerequio barolo 1996the roberto voerzio estate is located in la morra, a village in the heart of the langhe mountains in piemonte, italy. The estate was founded in 1986, when Roberto inherited 5 hectares of vines from his father. Since then, he has been one of the most acclaimed producers of Barolo wine. Today, the estate covers 8.5 hectares of vineyards around the morra, with high planting densities producing tiny yields. There are 6 different parcels in a range of Barolo crus: brunate, cerequio, capalot, la serra, pozzo dell'anunziata and sarmassa di barolo, all of which are sources of individual vintages. It also produces some barbera d'alba, dolcetto d'alba and langhe nebbiolo. This Barolo is made from nebbiolo grapes grown in the cerequio vineyards. Alcoholic fermentation lasts 10 to 30 days, and takes place spontaneously without yeast. At the end of malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine is racked into barrels for ageing. The sulfite content at bottling is less than 50% of the legal limit.cépage : 100% nebbiolo
