Zulu is an indigenous project initiated by chris albero, who passed away too quickly to taste the project's first moments. Jessica, his wife, and Laurent Pujol, despite being novices in the field, got involved in the project and saw the first vintages come to life. In 2016, with the support of Alexandre Pons, Zulu decided to continue the adventure... Like independent music labels, the idea is to produce cuvées in collaboration with committed winemakers whose multiculturalism revives the identity of Languedoc, Roussillon and beyond... The cuvée l'estanyol, the result of a collaboration between the zulu collective and sébastien agelet of domaine de mena, is made from grenache vines planted on schist soils from parcels of domaine de mena. The nose reveals delicious notes of black fruits, cherries, wild strawberries, tapenade and sweet spices. The palate is silky and very fresh, with lovely aromas of ripe red fruit and licorice, and well-melted tannins. A harmonious juice with great drinkability!
