In a few words ...
In a region best known for its Cabernet Franc and Gamay red wines, we decided to isolate an old Pinot Noir vine to create this cuvée. La Naine Rouge is vinified and aged like a "petit Bourgogne", with the main concern being to preserve as much of the wine's fruity character as possible, with fairly fine tannins. The finest Pinot berries are selected and harvested at optimum ripeness to ensure a high concentration of aromas in the grapes. The harvest macerates for several days in open barrels. Fermentation is then carried out at 20°C in the same barrels, with daily punching of the cap to extract maximum fruity aromas. After a month's vatting, "La Naine Rouge" is aged in barrels for 18 months to soften the tannins.

Appearance
"La Naine Rouge" is a lovely Pinot with a ruby-red color and purple highlights.
Aroma
The nose is greedy and the fruit aromas very expressive: black fruit, blackberry, blackcurrant, strawberry jam.

Taste
On the palate, aromas of black fruit come through on a crisp, juicy body. The tannins are pleasantly mellow and fine, for a wine that's all tenderness.
