In a few words ...
Lampe de Méduse, with its singular shape, is the house's iconic and historic cuvée. Since 1950, it has represented the core production of our estate wines. The bottle is the brainchild of Baroness de Rasque de Laval. VINIFICATION: Double sorting of the harvest, followed by gravity-fed vatting. Cold maceration for several days to bring out the fruity aromas of the harvest. Alcoholic fermentation, rigorous temperature control maintained between 26 and 30°C. Vatting for 30 days and moderate punching of the cap provide the structure and suppleness of a great wine for laying down. Alcoholic fermentation followed by malolactic fermentation. Aged in foudres and barrels for 12 months. Blending of grape varieties to obtain the characteristic harmony of this red wine.
