While the château's main cuvée shines in its ability to age, it remains logically more difficult to access when young, often quite marked by the long ageing in old foudres. Since 2006, the range has been very usefully completed by a more open cuvée, with a beautiful fruity substance that can be appreciated from its first years. The mourvèdre/cinsault blend retains the seriousness of Bandol wines, while offering extra silkiness and a magnificent aromatic palette. "le lys de pradeaux" 2022 is an elegant, fruit-dominated cuvée. However, it appears well structured, with present tannins and aromas evolving towards morello cherry notes. 85% mourvèdre, 15% cinsault. Vines between 25 and 35 years old. Aged for 22 months in old, weathered foudres.
