While the château's main cuvée shines in its ability to age, it remains logically more difficult to access when young, often quite marked by the long ageing in old foudres. Since 2006, the range has been very usefully completed by a more open cuvée, with a beautiful fruity substance that can be appreciated from its first years. The mourvèdre/cinsault blend retains the seriousness of Bandol wines, while offering extra silkiness and a magnificent aromatic palette. 2015 is a magnificent Bandol vintage. Elegant and fruit-dominated, this cuvée appears well structured, with present tannins and aromas evolving towards morello cherry notes. 85% mourvèdre, 15% cinsault. Vines 20 to 30 years old. Aged 22 months in old, weathered foudres. Aged for a dozen years.
