situated in vias, right in the center of languedoc, domaine de preigne produces this petit pont vin de pays d'oc. It is part of the range of wines that the vic family has been producing for 5 generations on a 250-hectare estate. the characteristics of this terroir made of gravel and basalt is one of the best in the languedoc allowing the vines an ideal development giving quality grapes for red, rosé and white wine.
the wine:this cuvée is composed of 70% vermentino and 30% colombard from vines aged a dozen years.this white wine brings freshness, and reveals fragrances of white-fleshed fruit. On the palate, it is refreshing, invigorating and fluid.
Ageing and food pairing:it should be enjoyed within the first 2 to 3 years after production. it can be enjoyed on its own without difficulty but could just as easily be the accompaniment to seafood, or why not an onion tart.
