In a few words ...

The domaine du bel air took a turn for the better in the 1970s, when the gauthier family decided to focus on viticulture. Laurent gauthier worked his vines on horseback and passed on the old winegrowing techniques to his son pierre. However, at the turn of the 1980s, pierre decided to adopt "modern" weeding and fertilization techniques. For a time, Pierre Gauthier praised these methods, which gave him greater simplicity, comfort and free time, but much later regretted having "lost his winegrowing soul". After 20 years at the helm of the Domaine du Bel Air, he felt trapped by "firms" selling him "the good winegrower's kit", i.e. anti-mildew weedkillers, anti-mildew fungicides, insecticides and other synthetic products. He then broke with this method to return to the pickaxe and ancestral methods. This wine reveals a deep, intense ruby color. Intense black fruit aromas and slightly earthy notes delicately fill the senses. The palate is full, frank and concentrated. No heaviness or sourness. Here, everything is pure fruit, intense, fine and delicate. The finish
