The domaine recrue des sens, founded by yann durieux in burgundy, has established itself as one of the most singular and committed projects in the burgundy wine world. Trained for almost ten years at the legendary domaine prieuré-roch, he has retained the absolute demands of plot-based work, the importance of precision and the conviction that a great wine is first and foremost born in the vineyard. His plots of land, particularly in the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits region, are cultivated using strict organic methods, with almost obsessive attention paid to the microbial life of the soil, respect for natural cycles and deliberately low yields. Everything is designed to allow the vines to express the depth of their terroir without artifice. In the cellar, the philosophy is the same: natural vinification, indigenous yeasts, no inputs, no filtration or fining. The result: free-flowing, vibrant wines, often disconcerting but always of rare intensity, reflecting the whole, deeply intuitive personality of yann durieux.
