In a few words ...

Taciturn and focused on his work, hervé villemade learned the trade at the lycée viticole d'amboise, before taking over the 13.5-hectare family estate in the mid-1990s. His work followed in the footsteps of his grandfather, désiré, who moved to cellettes from paris on the eve of the Second World War, and his father henri. The innovations he introduced continued the work of his predecessors. Thus, hervé villemade decided to perfect the careful work of the vines by resuming ploughing, and to try his hand at gentle, natural winemaking (...). The effects were soon felt. Always keen to harvest the finest, ripest grapes, Hervé has succeeded in producing wines of breathtaking aromatic complexity. The winegrower's job isn't any more complicated than that," he explains. There's no point getting worked up in the winery if you bring in a grape that's biologically dead. You have to work your hands to the bone all year long in the vineyards to bring in the most beautiful fruit possible, rich in indigenous yeasts". This success is all the more
