In a few words ...
Golden yellow with warm highlights, the 'cuvée ste catherine' in the 'l'inédit!' version opens grandly with honeyed mirabelle plums (emphasis on flowers), a delicate smokiness literally embraces us, drawing us in and drawing us down to even more fruit (yellow plum, lime sweetness, then after a few fascinating minutes, orange to slightly orange) and a hint of vetiver. On the palate, first impressions are confirmed in the clearest way (a lesson in the favorite material 'riesling d'alsace'!), more fruit, more flowers, perfectly integrated acidity (of which we can't get enough), spices (nutmeg, a hint of cinnamon) and the most refined of frangipane tarts. The finish? Simply grandiose!
