Harvesting began at Finca el Otero on October 11. The grapes were harvested in 20 kg crates. We took advantage of the region's usual low morning temperatures to carry out a natural cold pre-fermentation maceration for eight days. After this period, alcoholic fermentation began spontaneously and was completed in 18 days. The wine was then transferred to new French oak barrels, where it completed malolactic fermentation after 87 days, with weekly stirring of the lees. At the end of this stage, we selected the best barrels to begin aging in new French oak containers for 16 months, with two traditional-style rackings. This wine was bottled in June 2020.
"Immensely complex with aromas of red fruits, leaves and forest floor. The palate offers blackberry and mint flavors, fine tannins and well-integrated acidity. This is a magnificent wine!"
