This single malt is the signature of the Benromach distillery. Lightly peated, it is blended from first-fill bourbon and oloroso sherry casks. The result is a malty, fruity single, enhanced by a smoky note. With great finesse, it combines the typical notes of sherry (stewed fruit, toffee or black cherry), with a fresh character, marked by aromas of vanilla or orchard fruit.
Tasting notes
Aroma
Fruity, malty nose. Pear, green apple and unctuous caramelized honey evolve on aromas of vanilla and sweet smoke.
Taste
Rich, unctuous palate. Malted barley, stewed fruit, toffee and black cherries. Greedy, smoky finish. Persistent cereal and ashy smoke combine for a long, lingering tasting experience.
