With a degree in viticulture, marcel richaud took over the family estate in 1974. Passionate about vines and terroir, he obtained invaluable advice from the rabasse-charavin winemakers. Extremely gifted and rigorous, this winemaker is adept at the most natural growing techniques possible. In 2015, he teamed up with other winegrowers to draw up the specifications for the côtes du rhône villages cairanne appellation, which limit weeding, the use of sulfites and the use of motorized equipment in the vineyards. Proud of his 60-hectare estate, marcel richaud is one of the finest winemakers in provence and the southern rhône valley. Strong nose of strawberry and redcurrant.
Strong character on the palate, with a nice roundness and a slightly woody red fruit flavor. The finish is even a little spicy.
