The vineyards are located next to a range of hills that separate the vineyards from the Pacific coast. The site benefits from refreshing ocean breezes, making it ideal for pinot noir. The fruit is destemmed before undergoing a period of cold maceration in stainless steel tanks, then 30% is aged for 8 months in oak barrels. This wine combines delicious red cherries and dried cranberries, with a touch of black spice. The palate has notes of wild blackberry and cherry pie. 100% pinot noir. Conventional viticulture, hand-picked, fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats, pumping over, ageing in one-wine oak barrels, clay-limestone soils.
