In a few words ...
The "Dentelles de Montmirail" area, where the landscape is strongly marked by a rocky bar varying in height from 100 to 600 meters. The soils are clay-sand and limestone. The Dentelles massif has emerged under the influence of the Pyrenees and at the opposite end of the Alps. This terroir is ideal for producing powerful, fresh wines. Nights are indeed cooler and grapes ripen rather late. Traditional fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel or concrete vats, with regular pumping-over. Ageing in vats (mostly) and oak barrels. Bottled after 12 to 14 months.

Gigondas
The appellation Gigondas is part of the region of Vallée du Rhône from France which include Alain Jaume and its 21 cuvées. Spread over The Rhone Valley and its rich, complex terroirs. The region is divided into two distinct subregions: Northern Rhone (known as Rhône Septentrional) and Southern Rhone (Rhône Méridional). In the former we find strong wines in beautiful colours with warm, spicy notes, produced by vineyards that stretch 4,700 ha along the Rhone. The latter, with an area of 71,000 ha, is much more important, and this is evident of course in its annual production of red, rosé and white wines quite unlike those of the Northern Rhone., this region is 3 million hectolitres per year of red wines, rosés, dry and sparkling white wines, and natural sweet wine..
