Our Hermitage reveals an aromatic complexity based on conifer essences, a peppery mineral and balsamic breeding on an elegant sabayon of very ripe black berries. The bouquet rotates endlessly in the glass, each major aromatic family seeming to complement the other while imposing themselves in turn. The attack is frank and voluptuous at the same time. The greediness available is matched only by its freshness. Relying on its soil, the softness of its tannins and the harmony of a racy ageing process composed of small, very fine grapes give our Hermitage the unique sensation of discovering the complexity of an unfiltered noble material, served delicately in a bottle. Persistence and aftertaste offer a caudalie of incredible finesse. No granulometry or jolts on the palate disrupt its never-ending tasting curve, for the greatest satisfaction of our senses, which can thus totally abandon themselves to the tertiary notes of the terroir that gradually emerge.

The appellation Hermitage ou Ermitage is part of the region of Vallée du Rhône from France which include J. Boutin and its 5 cuvées. Spread over The Rhone Valley and its rich, complex terroirs. The region is divided into two distinct subregions: Northern Rhone (known as Rhône Septentrional) and Southern Rhone (Rhône Méridional). In the former we find strong wines in beautiful colours with warm, spicy notes, produced by vineyards that stretch 4,700 ha along the Rhone. The latter, with an area of 71,000 ha, is much more important, and this is evident of course in its annual production of red, rosé and white wines quite unlike those of the Northern Rhone., this region is 3 million hectolitres per year of red wines, rosés, dry and sparkling white wines, and natural sweet wine..
