In a few words ...
Beaune is the historic capital of Burgundy wines, and for more than a century the Albert Bichot winery has been at its heart. To the south of the Beaune appellation, the Les Epenottes climat borders on the Pommard appellation. Its terroir is reminiscent of the vigor of neighboring Pommard Epenots, but with a more feminine side and a finer, subtly silky structure. Our parcel is located on a clay-limestone terroir, with a south-easterly exposure that favors optimal ripeness. Most climatic names derived from the word "épine" refer to places where thorny trees, bushes and scrub grow.
