Bonnezeaux is a sweet wine made from a single grape variety, Chenin. The proximity of the Layon river leads to the formation of morning fog, which favors the development of botrytis or "noble rot". This is a key factor in the making of Bonnezeaux. Here, the grapes are harvested by hand for better sorting and berry selection. Every Bonnezeaux is different. All years have different scents and tastes, but all are a perfect balance of concentration and freshness.
