This organic wine is a blend of Syrah, Grenache and Carignan grown on clay-limestone soils, giving the wine great finesse and complexity. The nose is rich and aromatic, with aromas of ripe black fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant) and spicy touches of pepper and thyme. On the palate, Carretal is full-bodied and structured, with smooth tannins and a fine acidity that perfectly balances the richness of the aromas. The finish is long and fruity, with a hint of vanilla from the oak aging. This organic red wine is ideal with grilled meats, stews or mature cheeses. Details: appellation: languedoc aoc grape varieties: 40% syrah, 30% grenache, 30% carignan terroir: clay-limestone soils favor grape variety expression and good ripening. Vinification: traditional vinification with long maceration to extract aromas and color. Aged in oak barrels to bring complexity to the wine. Food pairing domaine cailhol gautran - carretal goes perfectly with grilled meats, beef stews, mature cheeses (such as Roquefort or Cantal), or Mediterranean dishes such as ratatouille.
