In a few words ...

Of michel chapoutier's ermitage blancs, "chante-alouette" is a more accessible wine, both in terms of price and minerality, than its big brothers "l'ermite", "le méal" or "de l'orée", true cuvées for insiders. The result is no less exemplary: this 100% organic cuvée is a real treat. A brilliant green-gold color, a complex, subtle nose with aromas of quince, walnut, honey, ginger, acacia and lime blossom, a frank attack on the palate, but without aggressiveness, followed by a long, elegant finish of toasted almond. 100% Marsanne. Rather old vines, grown organically. A blend of different terroirs on the Hermitage hillside: "le méal", "les murêts" and "chante-alouette". Aged in barrels for 10 to 12 months. Aged for 15 to 20 years.
