Hommage à jacques perrin is the finest cuvee from the prestigious chateau de beaucastel. This cuvee is only produced in the grand millesimes and is only available in very small quantities. The domaine uses 13 different grape varieties vinified separately before being blended. Dominated by mouvedre, the ancestral cepage of the chateauneuf-du-pape appellation rehabilitated by jacques perrin, hommage à jacques perrin 2017 is a wine of incredible concentration. Its aromas of black fruits, spices and leather make it a wine of great aromatic complexity. With its fine, elegant tannins, cuvee hommage à jacques perrin 2017 has excellent ageing potential. Châteauneuf-du-Pape
The appellation Châteauneuf-du-Pape is part of the region of Vallée du Rhône from France which include Famille Perrin and its 35 cuvées. Spread over The Rhone Valley and its rich, complex terroirs. The region is divided into two distinct subregions: Northern Rhone (known as Rhône Septentrional) and Southern Rhone (Rhône Méridional). In the former we find strong wines in beautiful colours with warm, spicy notes, produced by vineyards that stretch 4,700 ha along the Rhone. The latter, with an area of 71,000 ha, is much more important, and this is evident of course in its annual production of red, rosé and white wines quite unlike those of the Northern Rhone., this region is 3 million hectolitres per year of red wines, rosés, dry and sparkling white wines, and natural sweet wine..
