In a few words ...

Second wine of the Grand-Puy Lacosete estate, this wine is produced from the youngest vines in the vineyard. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc are used in the blend. This Pauillac appellation wine is aged in oak barrels. It is an elegant, fruity wine. On tasting, Lacoste-Borie has well-rounded tannins. On the palate, it offers a light crème de cassis flavor. Lacoste-Borie can be enjoyed in its early years, but will gain in roundness after a few years in the cellar.

Second wine of the famous Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste, Château Lacoste Borie 2017 reflects all the nobility of the Pauillac terroir. The nose reveals seductive aromas of blackcurrant, black cherry and blond tobacco, enriched by subtle woody notes. The palate is supple and velvety, supported by silky tannins and well-integrated freshness. The well-balanced, persistent finish highlights nuances of ripe fruit and sweet spices. Perfect with duck breast, roast beef or gratin dauphinois.

This is the first time I've drunk this wine, which doesn't have too much tannin (common in Bordeaux). For me, this is an important criterion.
