The winemaker

For the owners of the Domaine Lorentz vineyards, wine is the result of a successful blend of climate, terroir and grape variety. The vineyard produces two Grands Crus: Kanzlerberg and Altenberg. The grape varieties favored by the winemakers are Pinot Gris, Riesling and Gewurztraminer. The vines, planted at altitudes ranging from 220 to 320 meters, benefit from full southern exposure and very stony marl-limestone soils.
