The winemaker

On the Wine Route, between Barr and Dambach-la-Ville, at the foot of the Ungersberg (alt.901 m), NOTHALTEN is a wine village whose origins date back to the 11th century. In the early 12th century, the Cistercian monks of the Abbey of Baumgarten came to pray in a monastic cell at the foot Zellberg. It is these same monks who valued the land Muenchberg, ranked among the 50 Grands Crus of Alsace and others like Heissenberg and Zellberg. Located in the heart of the village, the Jean-Marie Wines Wassler & Son is a family farm that is transmitted from generation 3 father to son. Today, an area of ​​8.5 hectares enables Jean-Marie, Simone and Fabrice have a wide range of products. The generic AOC AOC Crémant, the vintages of Angels, the Cuvée Elena and the localities Zellberg, Heissenberg and the Grand Cru Muenchberg allow our customers to find happiness.
