The winemaker

Founded in 1691 by M. CISLE, Domaine Valentin ZUSSLIN is now home to 2 generations of winemakers who are carrying on the traditions of their ancestors. The vineyard is located in Orschwihr, south of Colmar, on the slopes of the Bollenberg, Clos Liebenberg and Grand Cru Pfingstberg. Since 1997, the entire estate has been run according to the principles of biodynamic viticulture. CONTROL & CERTIFICATION : - ECOCERT SAS France since 1997 - BIODYVIN (SIVCBD) since 2000 - Member of the Renaissance des Appellations since 2005. Average annual production: 90,000 bottles. Ageing potential: 15 to 20 years. Yield: 25 hl/ha for Grand Cru Pfingstberg, 50 hl/ha for Clos Liebenberg. 3 terroirs and 9 grape varieties! 13 generations!
