Paul barre is one of the most emblematic names in Bordeaux. Considered by many as the father of biodynamic viticulture in the region, he brought his letters of nobility to fronsac and canon-fronsac. Today, taken over by his son Gabriel and his wife Edith, the estate is intelligently inspired by the past, while developing a new style based on purity of fruit. The wines are full of energy and brilliance, thanks in particular to sensitive viticulture, delicate vinification and ageing in old containers. The wines are consistent, bursting with fruit, respectful of terroir and with good ageing potential. Domaine Paul Barre's Cuvée La bobine is made from Merlot and Cabernet Franc vines planted on sandy-clay soils. The nose reveals luscious notes of wild strawberry, blackberry, raspberry and blackcurrant, with a hint of menthol. The palate is round and crisp, with fine tannins and a fresh finish.
