The winemaker

The Domaine des Chaffangeons was founded in 1955 by Robert Depardon in Fleurie. At the beginning, the estate had a vineyard of 7 hectares, which has been gradually enlarged to cover a surface of 16 hectares. The Domaine des Chaffangeons is part of a family tradition and has been handed down from father to daughter with the desire to perpetuate a know-how and a passion for vines and wine.

The estate produces wines from various Beaujolais appellations: Fleurie, Morgon, Moulin à Vent, Beaujolais Blanc and Crémant de Bourgogne. The vineyard is planted with Gamay and Chardonnay grapes and benefits from an exceptional terroir composed of pink volcanic granitic soils that are ideal for growing vines. With a view to respecting and protecting the environment, the vineyard is managed using sustainable methods, certified by the High Environmental Value label.
