The winemaker

In 1890, Antoine Vermorel my grandfather winemaker back in Fleurie at Point du Jour bought at a place called "The Great Horseshoes" a farm location for its operation. After more than 120 years, I am proud to use this small area composed of the fabulous terroir of the Fleurie .... Rocks, Coasts, and the Garands Moriers. A culture close to nature, made observations and patience, neat vinification conducted in the most absolute tradition, a long and noble aging in wood (casks and barrels) reveals the blood of those old Gamay, colorful, fragrant, rich and racy. The average age of the vines is quite high which gives very reasonable productions. A large majority of our wine is sold in bottles for export but also on the French domestic market.
