The winemaker
The vineyard extends over 13 hectares. These are planted on soils combining schist, eruptive rock and clay impregnated with iron oxide. Domaine Louis Claude Desvignes produces the unique grape variety of the Morgon appellation: Gamay noir à jus blanc.
The wines produced at Domaine Louis Claude Desvignes are both powerful and surprising. The domaine's AOC Morgon cuvées are La Voûte Saint-Vincent, Cordelette, Montpelain, Côte du Py, Javernières, and Les Impénitents, the domaine's most emblematic cuvée.
